The following outlines the responsibilities for Class Parents, as expected by the teacher and the PTO. Each class has two Class Parents who will work together to share these responsibilities.
Classroom Needs: Communicate with your teacher about items needed in the classroom, such as water bottles, paper towels, soap, extra snacks, etc.
Share Communications: Share information with parents, as needed by the PTO.
Events and Parties: Help organize and attend classroom parties, as directed by your teacher.
Class Trips: Attend class trips to assist and supervise students.
Class Directory: Create, update, and share the internal class directory.
Collect Dues: Gather class dues from parents for PTO events and teacher gifts.
Manage Budget: Follow a budget for funding events and gifts.
Welcome New Families: Extend a warm welcome to new families joining the district.
PTO Volunteering: Participate in at least 2 PTO events, such as Fall Festival, Lunch with a Loved One, Art Show, Book Fair, Field Day, etc.
Recruit Volunteers: Help find volunteers for PTO events.
Monthly Meetings: Attend all monthly PTO meetings.
PNO Basket: Gather donations and put together a class gift basket for the PTO's annual fundraiser, Parent’s Night Out.
Class Parents must be have an active PTO membership for the 2025-2026 school year.
